Supports for movies like Argo that are weak both in structure and content show Hollywood’s ill-will toward the Islamic Iran, a prominent Iranian actor said.
Ahmad Najafi told IQNA that Hollywood’s cinema has a special approach toward Iran which aims to harm the Islamic Iran.
The latest obvious example (of this approach) is the movie ‘Argo’ that was produced with clear supports and received Golden Globe Award in the Best movie and best director categories, he said, adding that the movie has no outstanding features either in technical terms or in content.
He stressed that one should not assume that Hollywood makes movies without a certain purpose, as it is highly dominated by Zionism.
The Iranian actor noted that Hollywood is used to bring prestige for the United States when it has lost face. For example, after the United States’ shameful defeat in Vietnam, Hollywood tried to paint a positive picture of the war with the series Rambo.
