Kazan to Host Forum on Islamic Journalism

A national forum titled “Islam Online” will be held on April 4 by the Office for Muslims’ Religious Affairs in Kazan, the Republic of Tatarstan.
According to IQNA’s branch in Europe, the program will be attended by journalists and Islamic media and press activists in the Russian Federation.
The event aims to investigate the role of journalists and mass media in dissemination of Islamic teachings and values in today’s world and to introduce new approaches in this respect.
The national forum will also be attended by a number of officials from the country’s Office for Muslims’ Religious Affairs.
Status of Islamic media in Russia, coordination among Muslim media and journalists in the country and skills and proficiency of representatives of Islamic media and Russian Muslim journalists will be the main themes of discussion at the program.
