Islamic Solidarity Games Postponed

The 3rd edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games, which was due to be held in Indonesia in June, has been postponed.
Organizers have announced that due to some problems in the way of preparing the main stadium, the games will be held in October, letempsdz website reported.
Thomas Lubis, secretary of the 3rd Islamic Solidarity Games said that because the construction workers have not been paid in full, the main stadium has not been completed yet.
The city of Pekanbaru on Sumatra Island will host the event in October and over 5000 athletes from different countries are expected to take part at the event.
The first edition of the games was hosted in 2005 by Saudi Arabia. 6000 Muslim athletes competed in 13 categories of the games, held in the cities of Makkah, Medina, Jeddah and Taef.
