Over 57,000 Individuals Register for Nat’l Quran Examination

More than 57,000 individuals have registered to take the 11th National Quran Examination, slated to be held on May 3.
The examination is organized by the Quran and Etrat Center of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.
The registration for memorization section of the examination shows a 100-percent rise compared to the previous year.
Some 20,000 individuals have signed up to take the exam in the categories of memorizing 3, 5, 10, and 20 Juzes as well as memorization of the Entire Quran.
In the category of Quranic concepts, the number of participants is over 37,000.
The examination will be held orally for those under 12 and in written form for participants aged 13 and more.
The minimum score for passing the examination is 96 out of 100 and those who pass it successfully will be awarded by the Quran and Etrat Center of the culture ministry.
