350 Quran Memorization Centers to Be Launched in Egypt Mosques
Egypt’s Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Ministry plans to open 350 Quran memorization centers in the country’s major mosques.
According to Akhbar Al-Yawm daily, the main mosques in all provinces of the country will have such a center as of July 1.
The number of Quran memorization centers in each province will be determined based on the population of the province.
The prayer leaders of the mosques will oversee the activities of the centers, where people can learn the Holy Quran by heart at 7 levels, said Mahmodu Abdul-Rauf Al-Saba’ee, director of Quran Affairs Department of the ministry.
He said the ministry plans to develop Quranic activities for all age groups, especially in the field of Quran memorization.
