Defense Ministry to Host Iran, Oman Armies’ Quran Competition

The fifth edition of Quran competition between the armies of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran will be held in Tehran.
This is according to General Mahmoud Sajedifar, public relations deputy of the Ministry of Defense, who said the competition will be on memorization of the Holy Quran.
He said the Defense Ministry will host the fifth edition of the contest, which is slated to start on Thursday, April 25, and will run for five days.
General Sajedifar noted that representatives of Iranian and Omani armies will compete in the categories of memorization of the entire Quran, 18 Juzes (parts), 10 Juzes and 5 Juzes of the Quran.
Four of the internationally-known Quran masters of the country, Mr. Abaei, Abbasi, Emamjome, Aghaei, Saeedian and Rahmani will serve as the jury panel of the contest, he also stated.
