Mohammad Mohammadinia, director general of the National Library and Archives Center’s Manuscripts Department, made the remark in an interview with IQNA, adding that seven countries had participated in the section in last year’s exhibition.
He said that in a session held on April 9 at the National Library, the decision was made about the countries to be invited to attend the section.
“We decided to mostly invite neighboring countries and ECO member states as well as other Muslim countries that have activities in the field of Quranic manuscripts.”
Mohammadinia said the participation of foreign countries in the Quran manuscripts section was a very good experience.
He went on to say that the National Library and Archives Center will have an active participation in this edition of the Quran exhibition, which is slated to be held in the holy month of Ramadan at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall).
