According to IQNA’s ICRO branch, Faeqa Al-Awani, the Tunisian official and Sadeq Ramezani, Iranian cultural representative in Tunisia discussed the programs of the week and cooperation of the two countries in organization of the cultural event.
The Tunisian director announced that her country is ready to host the week from October 3 to 8 and stated that the people and elites in Tunisia are willing to get acquainted with Iranian culture and civilization as well as the achievements of the Islamic Revolution.
"They expect that the best works of the country will be presented with the participation of Iranian artists and eminent figures during the week" she added.
The Iranian representative then noted that the interest of the two civilized countries in cultural issues has provided good opportunities for cooperation in this respect and that joint festivals in various fields including theater, music, poetry, book-reading, visual arts, calligraphy and education have been organized.
At the end of the meeting, a copy of the Holy Quran, a book on Imam Khomeini’s (RA) thoughts and achievements of the Islamic Revolution, Diwans (poems collections) of Hafez and Sa’di and CDs of Iranian traditional music were gifted by Iranian official to the Tunisian minister.
The minister gifted the Iranian attaché a copy of the Diwan of Abul-Qasim Al-Shabi, eminent Tunisian poet.
