ISESCO to Hold Symposium on Women in Monotheistic Religions

The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) will hold a symposium on “Women in Monotheistic Religions”, at UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
It will be held on May 27, 2013, in collaboration with the Observatory of Geopolitical Studies (OEG), the Maurice Hauriou Center for Public Law of the Paris Descartes Faculty of Law, and the Association of Arab Women of the Press and Communication.
ISESCO Director General, Dr Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, will take part in this event which will bring together a host of science figures from prestigious institutes, and women researchers specialized in issues pertaining to women in Islam, Christianity and Judaism.
The symposium will address such important issues as clichés and overstatements on Muslim women, the cultural, social, economic and political evolution of women in the Muslim world, the necessity for a reformist approach, the status of women in Judaism, and Women in the Christian traditions.
