The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Umrah season in which Iranian pilgrims are sent to Minor Hajj began in the lunar month of Rabi-ul-Awwal and will continue until the 20th of Ramadan (July 29).
It is expected that some 500,000 Iranian pilgrims will perform Umrah Hajj this year.
By Thursday, May 30, 377,655 Iranians had been sent to Saudi Arabia in 2746 batches for Umrah Hajj.
The Airlines of the Islamic Republic of Iran as well as Saudi airlines take Iranian pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.
Unlike Hajj, which is obligatory for every able-bodied Muslim who can afford it, Umrah or Minor Hajj is not obligatory.
