Iranian Quran master Mohammad Reza Sotudenia made the remark in an interview with IQNA, adding that the Quranic community expects whoever becomes president to properly implement Quranic and Islamic principles in his government.
He said religious values and Quranic principles must never be sacrificed for anything else and that the next president should especially care about this issue.
Paying attention to Quranic issues, developing Quranic education and upholding justice were among other issues cited by Sotudenia as expected from the next president to do.
The director of Quran and Hadith Department of Isfahan University further highlighted the role of the country’s Quranic community in creating a political epic in the country.
The Islamic Republic of Iran’s 11th presidential election is scheduled to be held this Friday, June 14.
