IQNA – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei congratulated the Iranian nation on the country’s victory over the Israeli regime and the US as well as the extraordinary unity of the Iranian nation.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei

In a message released on Thursday, the Leader said Ira crushed the Israeli regime and brought it to its knees and showed to Washington that the Islamic Republic can reach vital US bases in the region and act against them.

Following is an English translation of the Leader’s message:

In the Name of God, The Most Compassionate, The Most Merciful

Greetings and salutations to the great and dear nation of Iran.

First, I honor the memory of the precious martyrs of recent events—the martyred commanders and scientists who were truly invaluable to the Islamic Republic and served it faithfully. Today, they are receiving the reward for their outstanding service in the presence of the Almighty, God willing.

I find it necessary to congratulate the great nation of Iran. I offer several congratulations:

First congratulations for victory over the fake Zionist regime.

The Zionist regime, with all its noise and boasts, was crushed and brought to its knees under the blows of the Islamic Republic. The idea that such strikes could come from the Islamic Republic never even crossed their minds—yet it happened. We thank God for aiding our Armed Forces, enabling them to penetrate their advanced, multi-layered defense systems and level many of their urban and military areas with powerful missile strikes and advanced weaponry. This is one of God’s greatest blessings. It proves that the Zionist regime must understand that aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran comes at a heavy cost—a very heavy cost. By God’s grace, this happened, and the credit goes to our Armed Forces and our dear people, who nurtured, trained, and supported these forces, strengthening their hands to accomplish such a great feat.

Second congratulations for Iran’s victory over the US regime.

The US regime entered direct combat because it realized that without intervention, the Zionist regime would be completely annihilated. They intervened to save it—but gained nothing from this war. They attacked our nuclear facilities, which, independently, warrants legal pursuit in international courts, yet they achieved nothing significant. The US president resorted to exaggerated claims in describing what happened—clearly, he needed this exaggeration. Anyone listening could see that beneath his words lay a different truth: they failed in their objectives and resorted to exaggeration to cover up reality. Here, too, the Islamic Republic emerged victorious, retaliating with a harsh slap to America’s face—striking one of its key regional bases, Al-Udeid, and inflicting damage. Those who exaggerated their own actions now tried to downplay this, claiming “nothing happened”, when in fact a major event had occurred. The fact that the Islamic Republic can reach vital US bases in the region and act against them at will is no small matter—it is significant, and it can be repeated in the future. Any future aggression will come at a heavy cost to the enemy.

Third congratulations for the extraordinary unity of the Iranian nation.

By God’s grace, a nation of nearly 90 million people stood united, shoulder to shoulder, without any division in demands or goals. They raised their voices, chanted, spoke out, and supported the actions of the Armed Forces—and this will continue. The Iranian nation demonstrated its greatness, its distinguished character, proving that in times of necessity, this nation speaks with one voice. And by God’s grace, this happened.

A crucial point I want to emphasize is that the US president recently stated Iran must surrender. Surrender! This is no longer about enrichment, the nuclear industry, or any other pretext—it is about Iran’s surrender. Of course, such words are too big for the mouth of the US president. A great Iran, with its history, culture, and unbreakable national resolve—the very notion of surrender for such a country is laughable to those who know the Iranian nation. But his statement revealed a truth: From the beginning of the Islamic Revolution, the US has been in conflict with Islamic Iran, always finding new excuses—human rights, democracy, women’s rights, enrichment, the nuclear issue, missile development—but the core issue is one thing only Iran’s surrender. Previous US leaders didn’t say it outright because it is unacceptable—no rational logic accepts telling a nation, “Come, surrender”. So they hid it behind other labels. But this man exposed the truth: The US will accept nothing less than Iran’s surrender. This is a crucial point! The Iranian nation must know that this is the root of the conflict with America—this great insult to Iran—and such a thing will never happen. Never.

The Iranian nation is a great nation. Iran is a strong and vast country with an ancient civilization. Our cultural and civilizational wealth is hundreds of times greater than that of the US and its likes. To expect Iran to surrender to another country is an absurd delusion that would only invite ridicule from wise and knowledgeable people. The Iranian nation is honorable and will remain so, victorious and triumphant by God’s grace. We pray that the Almighty always preserves this nation under His blessings with dignity and honor, elevates the status of the great Imam [Khomeini], and grants the satisfaction of Imam Mahdi (may our souls be sacrificed for him), so that his support remains with this nation.
