Funeral for Iranian Martyred Commanders Slated for Saturday in Tehran

IQNA – A national funeral ceremony is planned to be organized in Tehran for senior Iranian commanders martyred in the recent Israeli aggression on the country.

Iranian commanders and nuclear scientists martyred in the Israeli aggression on Iran that was launched on June 13, 2025.

 

The Zionist regime launched its attacks on Iran on June 13, drawing a harsh response from the Iranian armed forces.

After 12 days of aggression, the Israeli regime was forced to accept a ceasefire without achieving its goals.

During the Israeli assaults, several senior Iranian commanders and nuclear scientists as well as hundreds of civilians were martyred.

The martyred commanders included Major General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, Major General Gholamali Rashid, Major General Hossein Salami, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, and Brigadier General Masoud Shaneei.

The funeral procession for the bodies of General Salami and General Shaneei will be held on Thursday, July 25th at 9:00 AM in their hometown of Golpayegan.

The national funeral ceremony for these and other martyrs of the Zionist regime’s aggression, will be held on Saturday, June 28, in Tehran.

It will start at 8:00 AM from the main gate of the University of Tehran towards Azadi Square, with the participation of the general public.
