Fewer Umrah Pilgrims in Ramadan

During the holy month of Ramadan the number of Umrah (minor Hajj) pilgrims will visit the holy cities of Makkah and Media.
According to IINA news agency, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj Affairs announced that due to the beginning of operations to develop the holy mosques in the two cities, the number of pilgrims will be reduced in Ramadan.
It said in a statement that those who receive Saudi visa for visiting the country in this month will only have 15 days to leave Saudi Arabia after performing Umrah.
In other news, Khaled Al-Harbi, director if Hajj and Umrah Affairs at Jeddah International Airport, said the number of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims entering the country this year has risen compared to the year before.
He also said the northern terminal of Jeddah airport has been opened for facilitating the entry of pilgrims from different countries.
