Bangladeshi Muslims to Celebrate Nimeh Sha’aban

Muslims in Bangladesh will celebrate the birth anniversary of Imam Zaman (may God hasten his glad advent) on Monday, June 24.
According to IQNA’s Southeast Asia branch, the Al-Hilal committee will organize a ceremony to observe the occasion on Nimeh Sha’aban (the 15th day of the month of Sha’aban on the lunar Hijri calendar).
The committee said Bangladeshi Muslims consider the occasion as very important.
On the night of 15th of Sha’aban, which is known as Night of Barat in Bangladesh, Muslims spend the night praying and worshipping God.
Islam is the largest religion of Bangladesh. The Muslim population is approximately 150 million, which is the fourth largest Muslim population in the world after Indonesia, Pakistan and India.
