Qatari Emir Congratulates Iran’s President-elect on Ramadan
Qatar’s new emir congratulated Iran’s president-elect on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a phone conversation, Sheikh Tamim congratulated Hojat-ol-Islam Hassan Rohani and hoped for establishment of peace and calm in the Muslim world, the president-elect’s website reported.
Dr. Rohani for his part wished well for the new ruler and the nation of Qatar and extended congratulations over the coming of the holy month.
He said Ramadan is the month of compassion and peace and hoped that God will help Muslims achieve peace.
Ramadan, the month of fasting for the world’s 1.5 billion people started on Wednesday, July 10.
