10,000 Quran Reading Classes in Ramadan

Over 10,000 Quranic classes will have been held in the country by the end of the holy month of Ramadan, a Quranic official said.
Mohammad Reza Jafari Education and research deputy of the Supreme Council of Mosques’ Cultural and Arts Centers told IQNA that the courses teach how to read the Holy Quran accurately and fluently.
He noted that the courses are among the programs of the council for the holy month of Ramadan.
The council also participates in the 1447 Quranic Plan, which is held by the IRIB’s Quran TV, Jafari said, adding that based on the plan, 2000 classes are held in the next two months for memorization of the 29th Juz (part) of the Quran.
He referred to organizing 640 Quran interpretation courses in provinces all over the country, holding the Talawat-e Nour Plan in mosques, and holding Quran competitions as some of other activities by the council in the holy month.
Jafari went on to say that the council also plans to send 65,000 copies of the Quran and 10,000 copies of Nahj-ul-Balaqa, Mafatih-ul-Janan and Quran interpretations books to mosques to support their Quranic activities.
