Malaysian Premier Najib Tun Razak has called on Muslims to do their best in implementing transformation programs to boost Muslim dignity in the world stage with guidance from the revelations in the Quran.
The Prime Minister said with this guidance, the Government would ensure that the national administration would adhere to maqasid syariah (the objectives of Islamic law) aimed at driving the people to strive for success, prosperity and progress.
“The progress driven by the Holy Book is a balanced and holistic progress that is fair to all, regardless of race, language and religion,” he said in his message in conjunction with the Nuzul Quran 1434H posted on his blog yesterday.
He stressed that the sanctity of Ramadan was an immortal blessing bestowed upon the Ummah (community).
Nuzul Quran commemorates the revelation of the Quran to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
“I pray that with the blessing of Nuzul al-Quran amid the greatness of Ramadan, God will always unite our hearts, inject motivation with vigour to protect the religion and the country,” Najib said.
The Prime Minister said the Quran was a borderless guideline, an undying light and a tireless guide to mankind towards a noble life in this world and the Hereafter.
“Let us all strive to get closer to the Quranic guideline.
“Absorb the beauty of every utterance of His verse and every sense and meaning.
“Indeed, the Quran is our highest guidance in orchestrating ourselves, the family, community or country,” he added.
