Iran’s representative in the Dubai International Holy Quran Award is unhappy about the judgments in a competition held on the sidelines of the international event.
Milad Asheghi told IQNA that judgments in the “Most Beautiful Quran recitation Voice” held on the sidelines of the Dubai International Quran Award was not fair.
He said the contestants who attended this competition had a relatively weak performance in terms of Sowt and Lahn and in the end those from Bangladesh, Yemen, Egypt, Indonesia, and Afghanistan came first to fifth.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Ashegh said the Dubai Quran Award is held in a relatively small auditorium that can seat only 80 of the participants and 40 others interested in Quranic events.
He underlined that the enthusiasm for seeing the International Quran Competition held in Iran is not seen in the Dubai event.
The Iranian memorizer also said that winners of the 17th Dubai International Holy Quran Award will be awarded on Monday, July 29.
During his stay in Dubai, Asheghi also attended a Quran memorization and recitation competition as an honorary guest. The contest was organized by the Iranian Cultural Center in the UAE with the participation of Iranian families residing in the country.
