It will be organized under the supervision of the UAE’s Minister of Culture, Youths and Development at the Grand Hayat Hotel, Al-Bayan daily reported.
30 calligraphers form 12 Arab and Muslim countries will take part in the program to calligraph one Juz (part) of the Holy Quran each.
8 calligraphers from Iraq, 4 form Syria, and 4 from Turkey, will take part in the program while Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Palestine will have two representatives each and the UAE, Algeria, Britain and Germany will also have a representative.
At the end of the three-day event, the 27th day of Ramadan, the entire Holy Quran will have been calligraphed by the participants.
