Int’l Quranic Session Held at Imam Ali’s (AS) Holy Shrine

An international session of reading the Holy Quran’s verses was held on August 24 at the holy shrine of Imam Ali (AS) in Najaf, Iraq.
According to the information website of the holy shrine, the program was held with the participation of Farajullah Shazli, eminent Qari from Egypt and Secretary General of Egyptian Quran Reciters Union.
The session began with Quran recitation by Ghasem Al-Jaburi, Iraqi Quran reciter, and continued with a congregational program performed by a number of Quran memorizers of the holy shrine’s Dar-ol-Quran.
Mostafa Al-Sadeghi, Iraqi child Quran activist, also recited some verses of the Holy Quran in the session organized by the Dar-ol-Quran.
Addressing the program, Seyyed Sattar Hablul Matin, in charge of Quranic circles of the Dar-ol-Quran said that the international sessions are held with the aim of showing the effective role of the custodianship of the holy shrine in dissemination of Quranic culture and the importance of getting involved in Quranic activities for the holy shrine.
Shazli expressed satisfaction on his presence in the session and said that it was a great honor for him to get the opportunity to recite the holy Quran’s verses at the shrine of Imam Ali (AS).
He further wished increasing success for all of the servants of the holy shrine particularly the staff in the Dar-ol-Quran.
His Quran recitation at the end of the session was very well received by the participants at the program.
