International Quran Recitation Contest to Be Held in Moscow

The Council of Russia Muftis of held a meeting of the organizing committee of the XIV Moscow International Quran recitation competition under the guidance of the Chairman of the organizing committee, the Deputy Chairman of CRM Rushan Hazrat Abbyasov, the press service of the CRM reports.

During the meeting, members of the organizing committee informed on the progress of the preparations for this event. They noted that it is a new service for visitors, now they can purchase tickets not only at the kiosks at the Moscow mosques, but also through the site Concert.ru and in all the “Euroset’ salons of communication.
Moscow International Quran Recitation Contest will be held on September 15 this year in the concert hall "Russia". The event will be held under the patronage of the Chairman of the Mufti Council of Russia Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin and with the assistance of Moscow Government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation.
The competition will be attended by famous Quran readers from more than 35 countries, including the UK, the Netherlands, Tunisia, Yemen, Bahrain, Bulgaria, and from many other countries. The honorable guest of the event will be known hafiz of the Holy Quran Sheikh Abu Bakr Shatri. The competition will have only one category - hifz: reciting of the Holy Quran by heart.
