Speaking to IQNA, Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Ali Qaziaskar said that a Muslim, even if he will not go on Hajj pilgrimage, must gain knowledge of the Hajj teachings.
He underlined that the culture of Hajj belongs to all Muslim societies and cannot be confined to the time of Hajj pilgrimage or to Hajj pilgrims only.
He referred to the designation of a week as Hajj Week and said it is an opportunity for acquainting the society with Hajj and preparing people for Hajj pilgrimage.
Hojat-ol-Islam Qaziaskar also stressed that more efforts should be made throughput the year to spread the culture of pilgrimage.
The senior cleric added that ethical, behavioral, and life skill issues are presented during Hajj as it is an opportunity for instructing the Islamic lifestyle.
The Hajj is the largest annual pilgrimage in the world. It is obligatory for this pilgrimage to be carried out by every able bodied Muslim at least once in their lifetime if they can afford to do so.
