Avoiding Oppression, Not Being Oppressed, Main Message of Islamic Revolution
Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khamenei said the main and attractive message of the Islamic Revolution is avoiding oppression and staying away from being oppressed.
Imam Khamenei made the statement in a meeting with the commanders, veteran members and personnel of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Tuesday, September 17, the website of the Supreme Leader’s office reported.
His Eminence described the brilliant record of the IRGC as a sign of the depth of a nation’s identity, character and successful experiences and in defining the concept of guarding the Islamic Revolution said: The main attractive message of the Islamic Revolution is avoiding oppression and staying away from being oppressed.
Imam Khamenei added that every issue, including the behaviors and remarks of the domineering powers should be interpreted and analyzed based on this message.
The Supreme Leader said the IRGC entered the scene of striving and resistance with deep faith and belief and along with training the most intelligent and powerful commanders and military strategists also trained the best managers in non-military fields.
His Eminence referred to “living and remaining revolutionary” and ‘steadfastness” as the beautiful manifestations of the IRGC and said the powerful force has never deviated from the main and true path with pretext such as changes in the world or needs for change in the country.
Imam Khamenei underlined that in order to protect the revolution, the IRGC must have full knowledge of the developments and currents in different fields.
His Eminence pointed to the issue of the revolution’s main and fundamental challenge, saying that the main challenge is the domineering system’s resistance against the hope-filled message of the Islamic Revolution, namely avoiding oppression and staying away from being oppressed.
Imam Khamenei referred to the new order presented by the Islamic Revolution to the world, saying that the domineering system has divided the world into the two parts of oppressors and oppressed, whereas the Islamic Revolution has introduced the logic of fighting oppression.
“With this logic, the message of the Islamic Revolution did not remain limited to the borders of Iran and was welcomed by other nations.”
His Eminence referred to oppressive governments, the governments that are dependent on the domineering system and the plundering networks as the opponents of the message of the Islamic Revolution, saying that the domineering system and its affiliates pursue the three main policies of warmongering, spreading poverty and spreading corruption.
Imam Khamenei underlined that all of the enemies’ moves and conspiracies in the past 34 years should be analyzed within the framework of this fundamental challenge and so should be the nuclear issue.
“We are against nuclear weapons not because of the US or other countries, but because of our beliefs,” His Eminence stressed. “And when we say no one should have nuclear weapons, we definitely do not pursue it ourselves either,” the Supreme Leader said, noting that Iran’s opponents pursue other motives in the dispute over Iran's nuclear energy program.
Imam Khamenei further pointed to the depth of the arrogant powers’ hostility toward the Islamic Revolution and said whoever is more committed to the main message of the Islamic Revolution, will be more hated by the hegemonic powers.
Elsewhere in his statements, the Supreme Leader underlined that the future of the Islamic Revolution is a bright one given the huge accomplishments made in scientific, military, managerial, economic and other fields since the victory of the revolution.
Prior to the Supreme Leader’s speech, Hojat-ol-Islam Saeedi, the Supreme Leader’s representative in the IRGC and Major General Jafari, the IRGC Commander presented reports about the activities and accomplishments of the force.
