According to Akhbar Libya website, the Islamic Studies Faculty of Libya's Al-Asmarya University for Islamic Studies will organize the competition.
The competition categories include memorization and Tajweed recitation of the 30th Juz (part) of the Holy Quran for participants younger than 10, and memorization and Tajweed recitation of the 29th and 28th Juzes for those under 12, and 15, respectively.
The under-20 and under-24 categories will feature memorization and Tajweed recitation of the last 15 Juzes and memorization and Tajweed recitation of the entire Quran, respectively.
The contest will wrap up on November 30.
Al-Asmariya University, founded in 1981, is a public university in the Libyan city of Zliten, specializing in Islamic sciences such as Islamic theology and Islamic jurisprudence.
