According to IQNA’s branch in West Asia, the program has been planned by the Iranian Cultural Center in Afghanistan to commemorate the occasion.
Eminent poets and literary figures of the two countries will participate at the program, slated to be held at 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. local time.
The center also plans to hold special programs at the embassy on December 11 and 12 for Iranians residing in the city to mourn the 40th day after the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) and his household on Ashura (680).
Mosques and religious centers in various parts of Afghanistan will also host Shia Muslims and Ahl-ul-Bayt’s (AS) devotees on the occasion.
