TEHRAN (IQNA) – Representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 5th International Holy Quran Competition for Muslim students suggested that international Quran competitions be held online every month.

Sinanudin Tatarević said voice messaging services like Skype and Viber can be used to hold monthly Quran contests internationally.
He said Quran competitions in general have a great role in uniting Muslim youths, adding that the international competition in Teheran can especially contribute to Islamic unity since it brings together competitors from a larger number of countries than other such contests.
Tatarević, who will compete in the memorization category of the Muslim students’ Quran contest in Tehran, also suggested that categories like memorization of 20 and 10 Juzes (parts) of the Quran be added to the contest.
Asked about what he thinks of the competition, which is scheduled to be organized in Tehran in January, he said, “I think that the international competition in Iran, as I have heard from competitors who attended it in recent years, is on very high level and well organized too”.
Sinanudin Tatarević was born on January 16, 1990, in the city of Jajce in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He is an M.A. student and studies Arabic language at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo.
Tatarević, who learned the entire Quran by heart at the age of 18, says his favorite Quran reciter is Mahmoud Kahlil Husari.
As for Quranic activities in his country, he said there are three faculties in Bosnian and Herzegovina where Qira'at and other Quranic sciences are taught and that there is only one local Quran competition in the country.

The fifth edition of the International Holy Quran Competition for Muslims Students is scheduled to be held in January 2015 in Tehran by the Iranian Academics' Quranic Activities Organization.
