Heydar Rahim al-Shwaili, an official with the center, said it will be part of a series of Quranic programs the center plans to hold, Sawt al-Iraq daily reported.
He added that the Quranic programs are organized in cooperation with religious centers of the holy city of Najaf.
Every year, Muslims mourn the anniversary of the death of Islam’s Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the martyrdom of his grandson Imam Hassan (PBUH), the second revered Imam of Shias on the 28th day of the month of Safar (the second month in the lunar calendar).
This year, the 28th of Safar falls on Sunday, December 21.
