Islamic Books to Be Exhibited in Sarajevo

TEHRAN (IQNA) - On the occasion of the 36th anniversary of Iran's Islamic Revolution victory, over 200 books on studies of Islam and Iran will be put on display during the Cultural-Art Week of Iran in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.


According to the public relations office of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the week will be held by Iranian Cultural Center in Bosnia on February 9-13.

The center has invited 11 Iranian artists to participate in the cultural and art event to be hosted by Stari Grad Cultural Hall in Sarajevo.

TVSA (Sarajevo’s public TV channel), Iran-Bosnia Friendship Association and Stari Grad Municipality will cooperate with the Iranian Cultural Center to organize the event.

Iranian handicrafts and artworks, paintings and calligraphy will be exhibited during the week.

A workshop will also be held by Iranian artists on February 11 at Painting Department of the Academy of Fine Arts at Sarajevo University.

A group of Iranian musicians will perform Iranian traditional music in a ceremony on February 12 at the Sarajevo Music Academy and will hold a workshop for the students.

The programs of the week will also include exhibitions of Iranian tourism and cultural heritage, Iranian cultural and art products, software of Islamic sciences, photos of Iran and Islamic books.

Iranian films translated into Bosnian will be showcased during the week at the Stari Grad Hall.
