Nat’l Quran Competition to Wrap up in Tabriz on Monday

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 37th National Quran Competition of the Islamic Republic of Iran will conclude in a ceremony on Monday.


A number of senior officials including Expediency Council member Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Akbar Nateq Nouri, will attend the closing ceremony.

Some 470 Quran reciters and memorizers from different provinces of the country have been competing in the national Quranic event since Wednesday, February 25.

They qualified for the final stage of the national Quranic event after winning the top titles in preliminary and provincial stages.

A number of programs are also held on the sidelines of the final round of the contest, including an exhibition of Quranic, religious and cultural products.

There are also Quran recitation sessions in the host city and a number of nearby cities and towns with the participation of prominent Iranian and Egyptian Quran reciters.
