Egypt’s New Quran Radio to Air Programs for Southern Europe, North Africa
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A new Quran radio was launched in Egypt on Monday, March 2.
According to al-Misri al-Yawm daily, it broadcasts Quranic programs for the North Africa region and Southern Europe.
Egypt’s Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa inaugurated the radio station in ceremony held in the city of Tanta in Gharbia province.
Representatives from a number of African and European countries were also present at the program.
Egypt is one of the leading countries in the Arab world in terms of Quranic activities, especially in Quran recitation.
