Final Stage of Egypt Nat’l Quran Competition to Start Tuesday

TEHRAN (IQNA) - The final stage of Egypt’s national Quran competition will kick off on March 17 in various parts of the country.


According to vetogate website, girls and boys from different educational institutes affiliated to Al-Azhar and students of Quran memorization centers of the country will participate in the month-long competition.

The participants in this stage are winners of the preliminary stage of the national event organized under the supervision of Muhammad Abu Zeyd Al-Amir, head of Al-Azhar’s Office of Educational Centers and Institutes.

Ahmad Abdul Azim, head of Al-Azhar’s General Office of the Holy Quran’s Affairs said that the Islamic Center annually holds the competition in two stages.

He added that Cairo has hosted the final stage every year in the past, but this year’s competition in the final round will be organized in different parts of the country to facilitate the participation of the students residing in other regions.

Besides the students of Al-Azhar institutes, a number of students from Egypt’s universities will also attend the competition this year, Abdul Azim said.
