Ramadan Quran, Prayer Rug Collection Starts

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Municipality of Dubai has launched an initiative to distribute donated copies of the Quran and prayer rugs, old or new, to workers in Ramadan.

Last year, it distributed 3,500 copies and around 2,000 rugs.
1,000 copies and 500 rugs were distributed to municipality workers and the rest were handed over to a Ras Al Khaimah charity that distributed them to poor Muslims in some Islamic countries, GNews reported.
The municipality holds the drive during Ramadan, Hajj season and on the Prophet Mohammad’s (PBUH) birthday.
This year, the holy month of Ramadan starts on June 18.
