Seyed Mostafa Hosseini said 12 members of the jury panel will be Iranian and the other ten will be from other countries.
Ahmed Khalid al-Athamina from Jordan, Seyed Aqil Hussein al-Munawar from Indonesia, Nureddin Mohamedi from Algeria, and Khalil al-Nour bin Muhammad from Malaysia will be among foreign judges at the contest, he said.
According to Hosseini, Iranian Quranic figure Abdol Rasul Abaei will chair the jury panel.
The 32nd edition of the contest will kick off here in Tehran on Friday, May 15.
It will start on the occasion of Mab’ath (marking anniversary of the day when Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) was ordered by Allah to declare his Prophethood to the world) and will run for a week.
The competition annually takes place in the lunar month of Rajab by the country’s Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization.
