Seminar on Muslim Clerics’ Activities Held in Kyrgyzstan

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A seminar on the approaches to enhance the efficiency of Muslim clerics’ activities was held on May 10 and 11 in Bishkek, the capital city of Kyrgyzstan.


The Iranian Cultural Center in Kyrgyzstan announced that the seminar has been organized by the “Iman” Foundation for Development of Spiritual Culture, Kyrgyzstan’s Office of Muslim Clerics (Muftiat), and the country’s State Commission for Religious Affairs (SCRA).

Investigating the methods of developing the level of education and quality of the activities of clerics and imams of mosques was the main objective of the two-day program.

Maqsad Haji, Kyrgyzstan’s Grand Mufti, stressed the importance of organization of such programs in promoting the knowledge of the Muslim activists.

An expert in the religious policy section and the public relations of Kyrgyzstan’s presidential office said that the seminar was held in line with the programs began from 2014 following the president’s guidelines in religious fields and will continue until 2020.
