Egyptian Qari Takes Part in Quran Recitation Session in Iran’s Northwestern City

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Quran recitation session was held earlier this week in the city of Ardebil, northwest of Iran, with the participation pf prominent Egyptian reciter Sheikh Adel al-Baz Salim.

 The session was organized on the occasion of Mab’ath (marking anniversary of the day when Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

A number of top Iranian Quran reciters including Rasoul Tamjid, Behzad Huzhabri, and Reza Mouhammadpour were also present at the program, Hojat-ol-Islam Qiami, director of the province’s Awqaf and Charity Affairs Department said.


He noted that 10 top participants in the Madiheh (eulogy) competition, which featured eulogies in praise of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) were also awarded at the end of the recitation session.


Elsewhere in his remarks, Hojat-ol-Islam Qiami noted that 6600 individuals have taken the Quran memorization courses held by the department.
