Tehran to Host Gathering of Quran Memorizers
The gathering will be held by the Dar-ol-Quran Organization and hosted by the Islamic Development Department of Tehran province.
A number of senior Iranian Quran masters including Abbas Salimi, Karim Dolati and Mohammad Mehdi Bahrol-Olum will deliver speeches at the meeting on issues like the ethical aspects of Quranic activities, studying the Mufradat of the Quran, and specialized issues related to learning the Holy Quran by heart.
The program aims at encouraging the Quran memorizers of the two provinces to develop the scope and level of their skills and Quranic activities, Fars news agency reported.
There have been significant efforts made in the Islamic Republic of Iran in recent years to promote memorization of the Noble Quran.
An initiative titled National Quran Memorization Plan has been underway in various parts of the country over the past few years that aims to facilitate learning the Quran by heart for those interested.
