Malaysia Int’l Quran Contest; Iranian Qari to Show Skills on Saturday

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Malaysia’s 57th International Quran Competition will continue Saturday night at the Putra World Trade Centre, in Kuala Lumpur, the South Asian country’s capital.

According to IQNA dispatches, it will be Iranian representative Mohsen Hajihassani Kargar’s turn to show his Quranic skills tonight.


He will recite verses of Surah Al Imran of the Holy Quran.


The Iranian Qari will begin from verse 64 and has ten minutes to recite as many of the following verses as he can manage.


The 57th edition of Malaysia’s International Holy Quran Recitation and Memorization Competition was launched in a ceremony in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday evening.


Representatives of some 70 countries are attending the five-day Quranic event, which is held in two categories of memorization and recitation of the Quran.


The theme of this year’s contest is “Unity the Pulse of a Nation’s Transformation.
