In a recent statement, MAPIM President Mohd Azmi Abdul Hami said the recent US-Israeli aggression on Iran showed that US military bases in Muslim countries do not represent security.
The statement is as follows:
IT IS TIME FOR US MILITARY BASES IN MUSLIM COUNTRIES TO LEAVE
MAPIM declares that the escalating US-Israel war against Iran, the militarization of Muslim lands, and the repeated use of foreign military infrastructure across the Muslim world have exposed a dangerous reality:
US military bases in Muslim countries no longer represent security.
They increasingly represent strategic vulnerability, foreign domination, and regional destabilization.
The United States maintains extensive military infrastructure across multiple Muslim-majority countries, including Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq, and the UAE, with major hubs such as Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar and the Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain.
These bases have been central to recent military operations and regional force projection.

*A Critical Strategic Question*
Muslim nations must now ask:
● Are these bases protecting Muslim sovereignty?
● Or are they exposing Muslim lands to becoming battlegrounds for foreign wars?
● Are they preserving peace?
● Or are they enabling endless militarization and imperial intervention?
The recent US-Israel aggression against Iran demonstrates that Muslim territories can be used as launchpads, logistics corridors, and operational theaters for wars that threaten the broader Ummah.
*MAPIM’s Position*
1. *Muslim sovereignty must be restored*
No Muslim nation should permanently host foreign military structures that compromise national independence.
2. *Foreign military dependence weakens regional self-determination*
Security should be built through:
● regional cooperation
● diplomacy
● collective Muslim defense frameworks
● economic resilience
3. *US military presence has intensified geopolitical instability*
From Iraq to Afghanistan, Syria, and now Iran, foreign interventions have repeatedly produced:
● destruction
● displacement
● sectarian division
● weakened governance
4. *Palestine remains central*
Many of these military alignments indirectly reinforce structures that protect Zionist occupation while suppressing regional resistance.

*Conclusion*
The Muslim world stands at a decisive crossroads:
● Either continue as fragmented territories vulnerable to foreign military agendas,
● Or rise toward a future defined by:
● sovereignty
● unity
● dignity
● independent security
The era of unquestioned foreign military dominance in Muslim lands must end.
The future of Muslim nations must be determined by their peoples, not foreign bases.
