
The Academic Education Center affiliated with the Dar-ol-Quran section of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine organized the ceremony.
According to Ali Taleb, head of the Academic Education Center, the program took place with the participation of 60 qaris and with the broad presence of academic and Quranic figures, including Abbas Luftah al-Aqabi, president of Wasit University and his deputies, Sheikh Khair al-Din Ali al-Hadi, head of the Dar-ol Quran section, Hashim Abu Kawthar, head of the Dar-ol-Quran branch in Wasit, and Alaa al-Hosani, director of the Quran Radio of the Astan.
The gathering began with the recitation of Quran by Ahmad al-Sharikhani, and then the president of Wasit University in a speech emphasized the role of the Dar-ol-Quran in holding such activities.
He said these programs have made it possible for the Quran to be heard in universities for a whole month during Ramadan.
Sheikh al-Hadi in his address said the Holy Quran is the law of life and the dictionary of the nation for searching for the most important ways to escape from polytheism, noting that one-third of the Holy Quran deals with ideological issues to reduce polytheism and extremism.

He cited Verse 4 of Surah Al-Qalam, emphasizing the importance of having good morals and explaining part of the treatise on rights of Imam Sajjad (AS).
At the end of this event, the reciters of the Quran, the president of Wasit University, the vice-chancellors, and other university officials were honored with certificates of appreciation.
