Yemeni Army, Popular Committees Advance in Abyan, Strike Saudi Border Sites

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Yemeni army and the popular committees continued their anti-Qaeda operations in various provinces, expelling the terrorist group’s militants from different positions in Lodr in Abyan.

 They also killed 4 Saudi soldiers and injured 8 others after targeting their sites and patrols in Assir and Jizan.

Saudi Arabia has been bombing Yemen since March 26 to bring fugitive president Abed-Rabbu Mansour Hadi back to power.

The airstrikes have so far claimed the lives of more than 5,302 civilians, mostly women and children.
