TEHRAN (IQNA) – Members of Iran’s Quranic delegation hold Quran recitation sessions for Iranian Hajj pilgrims who are in Medina ahead of Hajj.

The Quranic sessions are held in the Prophet Mosque (al-Masjid al-Nabawi), the Shias’ mosque of Medina and elsewhere.

Most members of the country’s Quranic delegation will leave Medina for Makkah on September 11.

They delegation was selected by the Committee of Inviting and Dispatching Quran Reciters after a test in June.

Last year, some 1000 Quranic programs were held by the Iranian Quranic delegation during the Hajj season in the two holy cities.

Every year, millions of Muslims from around the world gather to perform the Hajj ritual.

All able-bodied Muslims are religiously obliged to perform the Hajj pilgrimage once in their lifetime.
