Speaking in a meeting with a number of Pakistani scholars in Islamabad, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki stressed that it is necessary for Muslims to following the teachings of the Holy Quran about fraternity.
Senior members of Pakistan’s Islamic Solidarity Council including Abul kHayr Zubeir, Liyaqat Baluch, and Asif Qazi were present at the meeting.
Ayatollah Araki underlined that what the WFPIST invites all Muslims to is a return to the Divine commandments and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
He added that Islam is founded on knowing, loving and obeying God and His messenger (PBUH).
Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Araki described Pakistan as a great Muslim country that can take great strides in enhancing unity and proximity in the Muslim Ummah.
He went on to say that the WFPIST is ready to cooperate with Pakistan’s Islamic Solidarity Council and other Pakistani groups on promoting Islamic unity.
