According to the website of the center, the course was held for two weeks with the participation of 23 Quran teachers from different provinces of Indonesia.
A number of Indonesian Quran activists including Fazlan Zaynuddin, internationally known Quran reciter and judge of Quran competitions, as well as some of imams of mosques and experts of Quranic sciences from different Islamic schools of thought were among the participants in the course.
The closing ceremony of the course, held on October 10, was attended by Sheikh Muhaymin Zayn, head of the Association of Quran Memorizers and Reciters of the country.
The themes of the course included Tajweed principles, methods of Quran memorization, Sowt and Lahn.
The participants memorized the 30th Juz (part) of the Holy Quran along with some Islamic poetries and supplications during the educational program.
The Quranic Affairs Section of the Astan has conducted various Quranic projects in Indonesia and South East countries during the recent four years, among them was the opening of a branch of the Dar-ol-Quran Center in Jakarta.
