According to Egypt’s al-Misriyun daily, ISIL has claimed responsibility for the act of terrorism.
It was the third terrorist attack in Bangladesh claimed by ISIL.
In the past few years, hundreds of extremist Bangladeshis have been lured to join ISIL and sent by the Takfiri group to fight in Syria.
ISIL is a terrorist group believed to be supported by the US and its regional allies including Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
