They happened near Imam Reza (AS) Mosque in Yusifiya Neighborhood on Friday, Press TV reported.
An improvised explosive device (IED) was detonated first when worshipers were leaving the mosque, the report said.
When security forces arrived at the scene a suicide bomber blew himself up killing several people.
Among those killed in the second explosion were two members of security forces.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attacks. The Daesh (ISIL) Takfiri terrorist group has carried out similar attacks against Shia targets in Iraq in recent months.
Last week, too, a series of attacks claimed by Daesh targeted Shias in Baghdad and left 19 people dead.
