Quran Memorization Competition Held in Netherlands

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A competition on memorization of the Quran was organized by Mishkat Association in The Netherlands.

According to the International Islamic News Agency, the Holy Quran Memorization International Organization cooperated in holding the competition.

Quran Memorization Competition Held in Netherlands

78 Quran memorizers of the country participated in the competition separately held for male and female participants.

The categories of the competition included memorization of the entire Quran, memorization of 15, 10, 5 and 3 Juzes (parts) of Quran, memorization of 1 Juz and Tarteel reading of Quran.

The judging board of the competition in male group comprised six members and the competition of the female participants was supervised by five Quran experts.

The winners of the competition were awarded in a ceremony attended by Sheikh Abdul Hamid Bulqasemi, author of The Netherlands Association of Imams of Mosques, Muhammad Buzail, Moroccan official in south of The Netherlands, Sheikh Khalid Marghub Al-Hindi, representative of the organization and a number of intellectuals, preachers and Quran activists.

The participants at the ceremony stressed the importance of learning the Quran and supporting Quran memorizers.

They also appreciated the efforts of the Holy Quran Memorization International Organization in serving the Divine Book.
