Yerevan Blue Mosque to Host Quran Competition

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iranian Cultural Center in Armenia plans to organize a competition on the memorization of the 30th Juz (part) of the Holy Quran at the Blue Mosque of Yerevan.

According to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, the Dar-ol-Quran of the mosque will cooperate with the center in holding the competition.

It has been planned on the occasion of the anniversary of the Iranian Islamic Revolution’s victory and will be held at the grand mosque on February 4.

Participants in three age groups, including children less than 8, teenagers between 8 and 18 and those above 18, will compete in the Quranic event.

Memorization of Surah Fatiha, Ikhlas, Nas, Falaq, Kafirun, Kawthar and Asr, the memorization of Surah Zalzalah to the end of the 30^th Juz and the memorization of Surah Tin to the end of the 30^th Juz are the three categories respectively planned for the three age groups.

Winners will be awarded in a ceremony which will be held to commemorate the occasion.
