Quran Memorization Tablets in Egypt
According to egynews.net website, Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa said the tablets will only contain the Quran and be used for teaching the Quran to students.
He said 100,000 special tablets for Quran memorization are planned to be produced.
Gomaa added that the ministry also plans to publish an ebook containing 100 selected religious sermons.
The ebook will be available on the ministry’s website soon, he stated.
As for other programs of the Awqaf ministry, he said it is going to establish modern Quranic schools in different provinces of the country.
It also plans to send religious books translated into foreign languages to other countries in coordination with the foreign ministry, Gomaa stated.
The move is aimed at correcting misconceptions about Islam and Muslims, he went on to say.
