TEHRAN (IQNA) – The compilation of a great Quranic encyclopedia titled “Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS)” was completed by the Dar-ol-Quran Center of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine in Karbala, Iraq.

According to the website of the Astan, the scientific committee of the project announced that 59 volumes of the encyclopedia including 43 main themes have been published so far.

Seyyed Badri Al-A’raji, a member of the committee, said that more 14 themes of the collection have also been compiled and the new volumes will be published after revision by the Supreme Scientific Committee of the Holy city of Najaf.

He added that the total volumes of the encyclopedia will be published and distributed among the libraries of the country in 2016.

The encyclopedia is a major Quranic collection, which includes a thematic classification of Ahl-ul-Bayt’s (AS) Hadiths and Quranic narrations based on the verses of the Holy Quran.

The project has taken five years to complete and it is expected to be an authentic reference for Quran experts, scholars, academic figures and seminary researchers.

The authors of the collection have made references to many Shia sources and encyclopedias in the compilation of the Quranic work.
